José Luis Torres nació en Ibdes, provincia de Zaragoza, España, en el tiempo de la República. El destino lo llevó a Venezuela, donde vivió en Sanare, un pueblecito de las montañas del Estado de Lara, y fundó el colegio "Santa Rosa de Lima". Pocos años después se trasladado al Pao, donde se encuentran las minas de hierro y convivió exitosamente con gentes de todas las nacionalidades, religiones, ideas políticas y culturales. Aquí fue el comienzo de la idea de la novela. Volátil como su destino se ubicó en Estados Unidos donde ha vivido la gran parte de su vida, pasando por Nueva York, Michigan, y Los Angeles, California. En California, asistió al colegio Chapman College, donde obtuvo la Licenciatura en Español, y donde en éste mismo fue miembro de la facultad como profesor de español de la única universidad flotante del mundo (World Campus a Float). Aquí fue donde la idea se hizo realidad, al convertirla en un libro que presentó como su tesis para la Licenciatura, y así nació "Romoleto Un Emigrante en Venezuela". Autor del método bilingüe llamado "Learn Spanish - Aprenda Inglés", utilizó este método enseñado español por teléfono para grupos de adultos que debido a sus condiciones físicas les imposibilitaba asistir personalmente a clases. Posteriormente "Learn Spanish - Aprenda Inglés" fue traducido al sistema Braille. José Luis Torres actualmente radica en Kissimme, Florida con su esposa e hijo.From reader reviews:
